International College of Sustainability Innovations (ICSI) was launched2019/09/01
National Taipei University’s (NTPU) International College of Sustainability Innovations (ICSI) was launched and ready for more international students, Chen Dar-hsin (陳達新), first dean for ICSI, said.
Chen said that there will be two programs, including the GMBA in Finance and the International Program on Urban Governance (IPUG), which used to belong to College of Business and College of Public Affairs, although these two programs are more related to each other and supposed to belong to the same college. NTPU decided to make that happen for building solid reputation and attracting more distinguished international students. In addition to students, meanwhile, the college is also planning to recruit more international teachers.
Chen, who is also taking oath as the new academic vice president for NTPU, said that IPUG will also help international students merge and adopt to local job markets after they graduate, as there will be Chinese language courses for them. They are also encouraging Taiwanese students to take more English-speaking classes so they would click with international counterparts.
“Anyway, building better fame for this college will be good for every one of us,” he said.
